Tour Overview:

Our Spirit of Thailand and Myanmar are perfect for those who want to explore these 2 countries in perfect way. Our trip covers the lively capital Bangkok and the ‘Rose of Northern Thailand’ – Chiang Mai. In Burma, you will visit all highlights throughout the country including Yangon – the former capital, Mandalay – a charming city in the west of Irrawaddy River, Bagan – the spiritual town and Inle Lake – the largest lakes with a unique floating fishing village.

Itinerary

Flight: International flight on your own arrangement or on requests.
Warmly welcome at Bangkok International Airport, meet & greet service by our guide and transfer from the airport to hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking guide. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to discover the “City of Angels” at your own pace.

Overnight in Bangkok.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will visit the most beautiful temples Wat Phrakaew which is famous for the Emerald Buddha Image, and the Royal Grand Palace, dedicated to the Thai Royal Family’s ceremony. We will then visit Bangkok Canal by motorboat, which is renowned as the long-tailed boat. The boat passes the Royal Barges Museum, the beautiful ornament boat, which has been used in the royal procession. Visitors will have a chance to observe part of the Thai belief and the secret activities during their visit. Along the way, pass by the most famous royal temple, the temple of Dawn, or Wat Arun, view Bangkok’s most stunning landmark, the Pang, before returning to the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, take a drive to the former capital city of Siam, Ayutthaya. The ancient city of Authaya is known as the “Venice of the East” because it lies along the Chao Phraya river. The glory of the Ayutthaya Empire (1350-1767A.D.) is evident in the remains of temples such as Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Wat Chai Wattanaram, which we will visit on arrival. After lunch, we head to Wat Lokaya Sutha to visit the largest reclining Buddha image of Ayutthaya with 42 meters long. Then follow your guide to Wat Mahathat, an important temple housing meditation center and the oldest Buddhist monastery. In afternoon, we return back to Bangkok.

07.30hrs. Depart from your hotel and continue by road from Bangkok to the garden province of Samut Songhkhram in the Mae Klong River delta area. Visit a unique country market (The Train Market) along the railway tracks where a variety of goods are sold and the train travels through bringing people to the market. Proceed to Damnoen Saduak, the most colorful floating market in the Kingdom. Enjoy the beautiful sights along the way and witness the day-to-day activities of the Thai people who live on the canals selling their fresh fruits and vegetables from the surrounding villagers’ farms. Take a short paddleboat ride through the canals to get the closure feeling of the local people. Transfer to airport for flight to Chaing Mai. Warmly welcome at Chiang Mai Airport, meet & greet service by our guide and transfer from the airport to hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking guide. Check in at the hotel.

Overnight in Chiang Mai.

After breakfast, excursion to the old city of Chiang Mai where the old walls are still mostly intact. Walk to visit the Three King Monument-King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai-According to legend, the three worked together to lay out the city of Chiang Mai. Then onward though old city to see charming temples, Wat Phra Sing is perhaps the largest and most interesting, although it may not seem so at first glance. Upon entering the main gate, you’re greeted by a large and dusty parking area. Across the lot is a large wiharn (prayer hall) with an intricately carved front. Wat Chedi Luang must have been the most impressive temple in Chiang Mai. Built about 600 years ago, the huge chedi gave the temple its name. Take Tuk Tuk to visit the largest central market, Worarot Market, alive with its daily hustle and bustle. Exotic fresh fruits, preserved food, local delicacies, clothes galore, flowers and other knickknacks, all at reasonable prices. We drive to the quaint and picturesque Meo Hill Tribe Village, where you can dress up in tribal costumes or shoot the crossbow. Continue to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, a highly revered temple that sits on the top of Mount Doi Suthep overlooking Chiang Mai.

Depart hotel and drive to Baan Chang Elephant Park where the main goal is “to help and work for the elephants and not to make them work for us”. Baanchang Elephant Park is dedicated to provide elephants with the highest quality-of-life possible and, of course, rescue new elephants. You will enjoy ``The Magical Elephant Mahout Training``, a special program created for everyone to learn and interact with elephants as what a Mahout (care taker) would do daily.

Transfer to Chaing Mai Airport for flight to Mandalay. Arrive at Mandalay International Airport. Meet our guide and transfer to hotel for check in.

Your first night is in Mandalay.

After breakfast, meet your local guide and drive to Amarapura, the former royal capital in Myanmar which is well-known as the City of Immortally. View the famous Buddhist monastery of Mahagandayon where more than a thousand monks live and study. The next highlight is U Bein bridge – one of the most famous tourist attractions in Mandalay dating back at the time when Amarapura was Royal capital. Stretching through 1.2 km over the serene Taungthaman Lake for over 200 years, the world’s longest teak-wood bridge has created a wonderful photo stop for photographers and drawn visitors from all over the world. Then visit Bagaya Monastery, an ancient monastery built entirely by teak noted for a superb collection of Buddha statues. After lunch at a local restaurant, travel by a short boat trip to the former Royal Capital of Inwa (also called Ava). Get on a horse-drawn carriage to explore the city’s highlights. Head to Nanmyint Watch Tower, the remains of the palace building name “the leaning tower of Ava”. Then we move to Maha Aungmye Bonzan Monastery, a fine example of the Burmese architecture from the time of Konbaung dynasty in the 19th century built of brick and stucco. Follow your guide to Bargayar Monastery which is famous for its impressive ornate woodcarvings and teak posts. Later on, visit Sagaing Hill, one of the most important religious centers in Myanmar. Enjoy the tranquil sunset from the top of the hill before returning to Mandalay.

After early breakfast at the hotel, pick up by driver and transfer to port to take slow boat to Bagan, passing through countryside dotted with tiny villages and golden stupas. Cruise the Ayeyarwady River between Mandalay and Bagan, trading uncomfortable overland travel for a beautiful day on the water. Arrive at the port, we meet our driver and transfer to hotel for check in.

After breakfast, start whole day sightseeing of Bagan’s most important temples and pagodas ranging from the temples with the earliest wall paintings to the prototype pagada the influenced the designs of later Buddhist monuments. Tour highlights include colorful Nyaung Oo Market, and Shwezigon Pagoda – built by King Anawrahta in the early 11th century as a religious shrine, then go to Ananda Temple – King Kyansittha’s masterpiece and the crowning achievement of the early style temple of architecture, next is Thatbyinnyu Temple – the highest building on the Bagan plain, after that visit to Htilominlo Temple – the largest temple of Bagn – noted for its fine plaster carvings and glazed sandstone decorations. In the afternoon observe the process of traditional lacquer ware, one of Myanmar’s best known handicrafts and a specialty of Bagan. Then visit Manuha Temple, Myingabar Gubyaugyi Temple – an early period Pyu-style temple of Hindu influence with some of the oldest mutual paintings in Bagan and Dhamanyangyi Temple noted for its remarkable brickwork. Lastly watch sunset over the Ayeyarwaddy River from Buphaya or Shwesandaw Pagoda.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for flight to Heho. Arrive at Heho Airport, we drive to Nyaung Shwe and transfer to hotel by boat to Inle Lake. Being located at the 900 meters above sea level, Inle Lake is the second largest natural lake in Myanmar with hazy blue mountains as backdrop. Afternoon, visit Indein Village, located at the western side of the lake. Passing Nyaung Ohak Monastery and follow a stair path lined up with many hundreds o wooden columns, you finally will reach the impressive Shwe Indein Pagoda Complex. From the hillside you have great view over the lake area. On the way back to the boat, walk through a romantic bamboo forest at the riverside, where you may observe local people having a bath. Afternoon continue sightseeing on the lake.

Overnight at the hotel on Inle Lake

In the early morning, breakfast at hotel and visit Phaungdaw Oo Pagoda, the most famous pagoda of the Shan State. Ywa-Ma village, gold and sliver smiths’ workshop. After lunch, visit Jumping Cat Monastery and floating gardens, local methods of fishing, village life and the famous leg rowers. Transfer to the Heho Airport for flight to Yangon. Upon arrival at Yangon airport, we meet our guide and transfer to hotel.

Enjoy your orientation tour of Yangon with a walk from Sule pagoda to Strand Hotel where you will encounter numerous of British colonial buildings and Emmanual Church. We stop at Bogyoke Market (Scott’s Market) of hundreds of shops where you can find local products such as Gems & Jewelry, slippers, cloth, and so on. Evening stroll along the China Town and study the ways of living of Yangon citizens (which can observe the tradition and modern costume). As we save the best for the last, drop by Shwedagon, the most sparkling pagoda, also the biggest one in the country. Free to take photos and learn about Buddhist with your guide.
