Itinerary in details:

Warmly welcome at Bangkok International Airport, meet & greet service by our guide and transfer from the airport to hotel by private air-conditioned vehicle with English speaking guide. Check in at the hotel. Rest of the day is free to discover the “City of Angels” at your own pace.

Bangkok, the sprawling capital of Thailand, dazzles visitors with its ornate shrines, bustling street markets, and relentless energy. The Chao Phraya River, crowded with long-tail boats and ferries, winds through the city and feeds a historic network of canals. Flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, the river offers views of the opulent Grand Palace and the sacred Wat Phra Kaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha), two of the nation's most revered landmarks.

Overnight in Bangkok.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Bangkok's most famous temples. Your first stop will be at Royal Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha, two of the most famous tourist attractions in Bangkok. The Grand Palace is adjacent to Wat Phra Kaew, and together they form a common compound. The Grand Palace features European-inspired designs, except for the roofs, which maintain a distinctly Thai style.

Next, you will visit Wat Po, which is the oldest and largest temple in Bangkok. This temple is famous for its Reclining Buddha (Phra Buddhasaiyas), the largest single Buddha image in Thailand, and is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage. After this visit, you will have free time for lunch on your own.

You will then visit Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of the Dawn. This iconic landmark is one of the most well-known temples in Bangkok and offers a stunning view of the city.

Enjoy a walk through the flower market before the last visit at the Golden Mountain.

After this visit, you will return to your hotel for some free time to relax and explore the city at your leisure. Overnight in Bangkok.

Free until transfer to Bangkok airport for flight to Chiang Rai. Arrival at the airport in Chiang Rai, reception at the airport with a local guide and transfer city.

visit the famous Blue Temple, or Wat Rong Seua Ten located a few kilometers from Chiang Rai. It is a recent temple that is still under construction, although its main hall is now completed. It is above all its magnificent blue interior with a large white Buddha that marks the spirits. The Blue Temple of Chiang Rai is still little known among tourists for now, because it was completed very recently. Then we will begin the journey that takes us to Chiang Rai, during which we cannot miss a visit to the White Temple or Wat Rong Khun. One of the many religious places in Chiang Rai. With exceptional quality in art and extremely elaborate architecture, the consecrated assembly hall of Wat Rong Khun is unlike any other temple in terms of having both carved pediment peaks and tooth-shaped ridges. The hall itself is mostly constructed in pure white, illustrative of the purity of the Buddha. The clear mirrored sparkling glass serves as the wisdom of the Awakened One shining upon the earth and the universe.

Overnight in Chiang Rai.

Important Notes:

  • The Grand Palace may occasionally close without prior notice due to royal ceremonies or official state visits.
  • Modest attire is required for visits to the Grand Palace and temples. Shoulders and knees must be covered, and shoes must be removed before entering temple buildings.
  • The itinerary may be adjusted depending on local conditions.

Today we begin the exploration of this province, the northernmost of Thailand, starting from the famous Golden Triangle, the point where the borders of Myanmar (ancient Burma), Thailand and Laos meet. It is located 9 kilometers north of Chiang Saen, along the road along the Mekong River. Sop Ruak is where the Mekong River (Lao border) meets the Ruak River (Burma border). In the past, the Golden Triangle was the world's main source of drug trafficking due to its privileged location, connected to opioid-producing countries. Today it is a renowned tourist attraction. The visit includes Wat Phra That Pu Khao which offers a wonderful view of the Golden Triangle, the Mekong River, and the forested mountains. Two large multi-headed Naga serpents at the bottom of the staircase protect the temple. We continue with the Opium Museum. The museum exhibits and educates visitors about the production of opium and its use in the lives of the hill tribal people, from the visit we can learn a lot about the history of opium since it developed in this infamous locality. In the afternoon visit Mae Sai, a border town, with a large market located along the border with Myanmar (formerly Burma), where you can find absolutely everything. As we head towards the hotel, we stop to visit the Yao and Akha ethnic minorities, settled in the Mae Chan district.

After tour, private transfer to Chiang Khong a border of Laos and Thailand.

After completing border formalities, you board a ready traditional boat for the trip down the Mekong River. Serene, timeless Laos is one of Asia's most unvisited, unchanged countries. This once-powerful kingdom known as Lane Xang (Million Elephants) was founded in the 14th century with the help of the Khmers, and it went on to become one of the largest kingdoms in Southeast Asia until its demise in the late 19th century. Bisected and bordered by the Mekong River, omnipresent symbol of Indochina, Laos today is an amalgam of cultural influences, Theravada Buddhism, animism, France, and the socialist ideal. It is a peaceful place, and the legendary hospitality, resilience and friendliness of the Lao people is much in evidence. Laos is Old Asia preserved. As your journey downriver you will stop at some tribal minority villages such as the Hmong, Yao and Khmu.

Overnight in Pakbeng.

Join Slow boat tours:

Breakfast, as you sail downriver as a second leg, you will pass areas of un-spoilt forest with little villages along the riverbanks and perhaps the odd elephant or two with his mahout. Laos is also known for its traditional handicrafts, and today we will visit the villages of Ban Ouay and Ban Thapene and the weaving village of Ban Phanom which are populated by Lao ethnic minority groups. We spend time at the beautiful Khouangsi Waterfall where you can splash around in the turquoise pools or walk along the forest paths.

PM: We spend the rest of this day touring the Lao capital, we visit the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun and the shrine of Wat Aham, Wat Mai. The temple structures are decorated in various ways with gilded stuccoes as well as doorways and the main sim has a marvelous 'tree life' mosaic pattern on an outer wall. We then climb up to the top of Mount Phousi for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa as well as viewing a beautiful and panoramic sunset over the ancient and once royal city and the Mekong River. Then, we stroll around the Night Market, where you can find a lovely selection of textiles made by the local and the hill tribe people surrounding Luang Prabang.

In the afternoon: we will visit to Wat Si Muang, which is very famous for its supernatural power. Then go to Buddha Park which takes around 45 minutes. Along the way, stop to take photos of the Friendship Bridge which was built by the Australian government in 1994 and connects Laos and Thailand. Arrive at Buddha Park and enjoy a walk in the park. Also known as XiengKhuan, this park is filled with over 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues. The concrete sculptures are bizarre, yet intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful grounds. The peaceful setting of the park on the banks of the Mekong contrasts radically with the somewhat eccentric works sculpted in 1958 by a Laotian shaman-priest-yogi. The concrete sculptures are bizarre, yet intriguing, sitting majestically in the peaceful grounds. Then you also visit the Laos-Thailand Friendship Bridge.

Ta Prohm has been abandoned to the elements, a reminder that while empires rise and fall, the riotous power of nature marches on, oblivious to the dramas of human history. Left as it was ‘discovered’ by French explorer Henri Mouhout in 1860, the tentacle-like tree roots here are slowly strangling the surviving stones, man first conquering nature to create, nature later conquering man to destroy.
